Back to School Spa Party
A new school year is almost here and I'm sure everyone is excited to get back to school. Like some people, I have important exams to write in the new school year. What I've learnt is that worry and studying makes you stressed and your skin suffers the most. I got this idea from Teen Vogue and I'm sharing it with all of you. Get a couple of your friends and have some beauty fun!
Amid the mad rush to buy all of your school supplies and figure out what you're going to wear on the first day of class, don’t forget to also focus on your skin! All it takes is a few simple steps to ensure your complexion is in great, glowing shape for the big day.
For the best results, start a few weeks in advance by regularly using a daily cleanser that’s not too drying. “If you have relatively clear skin, pick a mild one that also dissolves makeup, and make sure you wash your face in the morning and at night to remove dirt and debris,” says New Orleans-based dermatologist Mary Lupo, MD. If your skin tends to break out, “Look for products with anti-microbial ingredients to kill bacteria and salicylic acid to clear pores, like Philosophy’s On A Clear Day cleanser, ” she adds. On top of that, use a very gentle exfoliating product twice a week to help brighten your complexion.
Two weeks before, invite your friends over for a weekend spa party. (After all, who says caring for your skin can’t also be fun!) “Serve them Spa Water: In a pitcher of ice water, add thinly sliced cucumber,” suggests Elizabeth TenHouten, a former skincare analyst for Prescriptives and author of Cooking Well: Beautiful Skin. If your skin could use a boost of hydration, try a Lavender Steam Facial. Simply bring a medium pot of water to a high heat (almost boiling), take it off the stove, and add a few drops of calming lavender oil. Pull your hair back and lean over the pot with a towel over your head, letting the steam open your pores. “Take five deep, relaxing breaths, and then pat your face with an ice cold, damp washcloth,” says TenHouten. Then, seal in the moisture with a light moisturizer. Makeup artist Jenna Menard prefers prepping the skin with a mist before applying lotion. “By misting your skin first, it opens up the pores in order to maximize hydration!” she says. “I like Shu Uemura’s Depsea Water Facial Mist because it comes in many different scents.”
Sticking to this regimen will help improve the quality of your skin before you head back to school, but if you have any lingering bumps, don’t stress—cover them up like a pro! “I like using a concealer palette that includes a few different shades, like Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette, so you can blend your exact color, whether the blemish is on your cheek, chin, or nose,” says Menard. Make sure to keep blotting papers in your bag to combat shine. And last, but not least, resist touching your face. “Your hands collect lots of bacteria throughout the day, and touching your face is just asking for a breakout,” reminds Menard. “Keep your hands on your books!”

How To Do A Braided Ponytail
Stand out with this funky take on your typical pony tail:
1. Blow-dry hair straight to make it easier to braid. Make a deep side part, then used a mixed bristle brush to smooth down frizz and flyaways.
2. Start French-braiding a three-inch piece of hair at the full side of your part. Continue down your head.
3. Pull the rest of your hair into a low side ponytail, leaving a two-inch piece of hair (might need to be larger, depending on the thickness of your hair) outside of the ponytail.
4. Wrap the piece around the top of your ponytail, securing with a bobby-pin.
5. Spritz with hairspray for hold.

4 Spring Nail Polish Trends
There are basically six nail polish trends this season. They are; blues, metallics, greige and nude.Want to learn more? Read more!!!!!
- Blues: Blue is my favourite colour so I am really excited about it. Blue just makes you feel like you are on a luxurious cruise and I can almost hear the movement of the waves. What beautiful music to the ears. That is how colour blue makes me feel.I will like to know how blue makes you feel. There are so different shades but the best are bright blue, muted blue and periwinkle. Experiment with them but I can guarantee any shade will work with any body.
- Metallics: They give you this punk look. If you watch Jerseylicious you'll know what I'm talking about. Like a glam fairy(Alexa's company). Let your glammy fingers stay up.
- Greige: This is simply the mixture of beige and gray together. It is what all celebs are wearing right now so I recommend it.
- Nude: Most people have been seen wearing nude dresses, skirts, tops and even accesories. Why not try it on your nails. It is such a colour that can go with any skin tone so try it!
Dressing Like Casey Wright
Casey Cartwright is such an epitome of style. She always looks good and I love her preppy, fun look. Her outfits are simple but chic. She makes them look effortless. If you want to dress like her, here are some tips:
- Pretty Blouses: Casey's idea of a cute top are those that have floral prints, silky blouses and patterned tanks. She makes them look feminine and flirty.
- Cute Cardigans: What makes a person feel warm one and snugly than a cardigan? Casey knows this and loves wearing cardigans. That make her look so innocent.
- Classic Bottoms: Casey loves cotton skirts and mid thigh shorts. To work this look, search for skirts and shorts that sit well on your waist. If it's too big or too small, it won't look nice at all.
Vinatge Look
Vintage clothing is one trend that I really love. I don't even know why! Vintage is so cool and preppy. It just gives you that extraordinary factor that makes you different from everyother person. If you really want to work the vintage look, just go for floral prints. They are always vintage. Here are some vintage floral pieces you can wear and you still look good instead of looking like you raided your grandmother's wardrobe.
Here are some timeless vintage pieces that I love. So remember, you can still look vintage and stylish!

5 Fashion Rules Made For You To Break
Some fashion rules are just plain tacky and here are some of them:
2.Don't wear navy blue with brown or black.
That is a very terrible rule. Those three colours can go together. For example, you can wear a navy blue dress and put a skinny brown belt in the middle and finish off the outfit with a pair of black heels. That is so ultra modern.
3.Never wear denim on denim.
Denim on denim can be very cute together. The problem is that is very tricky. When wearing denim on denim, use different shades. You can wear a black top and layer it with a blue denim cropped jacket and wear a pair of white denim jeans. Next time you want to hit the streets, bring out your inner cowgirl!
4.You should never wear tights with opened toe shoes.
It depends on how you wear it. If you wear black peep toe heels and red tights, that is so tacky! But if you wear a pair of leopard print platforms and wear black tights, you can easily pull of this look. Just remember to tuck the seams of your tights under your toes.
5.Your bag, belt and shoes have to match.
That is plain wrong! You can wear a yellow top with black jeans, a red belt, a pair of black heels and a black bag. Everything isn't the same colour and you still look good!
- You should never wear gold and silver together.

3 Comfortable But Stylish Outfits.
Some people try to look comfortable when they dress and end up looking like slobs. Some try to be stylish but end up looking overdressed. I have some tips on how to comfy but stylish at the same time.
- Wearing a bright cotton top, a pair of well tailored jeans and a neutral blazer is very comfy. The cotton top is comfy because cotton is a very good material for clothes as it does not itch you or make you uncomfortable(most of my stuff are comfy).Jeans should be well tailored and firm on you so you don't have to keep dragging them on when they slither down.
- Another thing I like is wearing a loose knit sweater with black jeans and a pair of black wedges. Loose kit sweaters are good because they are free and you won't feel hot in them.Wedges are great because they are not like heels that shake. They are firm on the ground.
- I love wearing a cotton t-shirt with leggings and flats. You can add some cute accessories and layer it with a vest.It just makes you happy and cute at the same time. Leggings are great on anyone.

How to look good in a photo
Some people complain that they look terrible in photos. Even popular people like Giuliana Rancic have said that they look terrible in photos. Here are some quick tips hat will make you look like a covergirl.
- Don't ever wear a turtle neck: Wearing a turtle neck to snap a picture is like deliberately trying to make yourself look bad. It will make you look really chunky and thick so stay away from turtlenecks.
- Always wear bright colors: Bright colours will make the camera pop out and it will look really pretty.
- Avoid wearing black: Don't wear black to snap a picture. Even if you want to wear black, make sure you add a pop of colour like a colourful scarf or necklace.
- Look cute: Wear something that is cue like a floral print dress or an of the shoulder top.
- Hair: Your hair should be be away from your face so the photographer can capture yourbeauty. If your hair is on your face, I think you want to copy Ozzy Osbourne.
- Bare Your Teeth: This is the most important tip. Just smile. A smile can make a very big difference to your face so smile!
Spring Trends of 2011
- Color Blocking: It is simply the ability to mix two really bright colours together. All the designers are really using this style and it is really cute. If you are scared that you might overdo this look, let me give you some advice. Id you wear a bright top with two bright colours, opt for a neutral bottom. If you wear a 2 color bright dress, use a neutral belt or stick with black shoes so you don't end up looking like a rainbow. Remember, use neutral tones to tone it down.
- Colorful Eyeliner: This is the time to say goodbye to black and brown and bring in some pop of colour. You can use sunny yellow or electric orange. Spring is all about colour and colored eyeliner will give you a pop! So go for it!
- Floral Patterns: Spring is all about blooming. What else blooms like a flower? Nothing! Personally I think floral prints are cute and it should be something everyone should wear.
